Renato Cerisola

Renato Cerisola was born in Genoa but now lives in Rome. He has been a geologist for more than fifteen years before becoming a professional photographer in 2000.

He pursued a series of successful one-man exhibitions on landscape and corporate photography highly praised by the critics. His style is very personal and unmistakable, he does not specialize in any particular area, he just follows the thread of sensitivity and emotion. His works encompass industrial, still-life, reportage, architecture, landscape, advertising, fashion, and portraiture.

Among other things, he has done covers and works for annual reports, environmental reports and advertising of ENI Group, Alitalia, ENEL, Suez, HSBC, Mercedes-Benz, National Geographic, Telecom, TotalFinaElf, AlcatelAleniaSpace, Groupama, Alpitour, WWF, Bentley Italia. He has published over ten books and has held exhibitions in many art galleries in Italy and abroad.

In 2002 he produced a book on the Presidential Estate in Castelporziano (Rome), together with the patronage of the General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Republic of Italy. The book was followed by an exhibition at the Presidential Palace, that drew more than 40,000 visitors.

In 2003, he was commissioned by ENI to make a photography book on the landscapes and peoples of Nigeria, Egypt and Kazakhstan in honour of the company’s 50th anniversary.

His recent works have just been printed in three books, for Techint, INAIL, WWF Oasi.
